Using a DICOM Modality Worklist (MWL) can help solve this problem and also help address electronic ordering required by the "Meaninful Use" provisions of the US Federal Government.

Model CAT-MWL-B – MODALITY WORKLIST GENERATOR SOFTWARE
Catella Modality Worklist Broker handles the “gap” between your practice management software, EMR or RIS system and an imaging modality. The object is to take the patient information input at the front desk and place that information in the DICOM header so the patient records and patient images match. “Broker” accepts HL-7 SUI messages and updates its database. This database is then polled by DICOM compliant imaging modalities for data. Product purchase includes 2-hours of on-line support for remote installation and training.

Please note, there is not visual user interface with the Broker product.

Model CAT-MWL-C – MODALITY WORKLIST CREATOR SOFTWARE
Catella Modality Worklist Creator builds a patient and procedure database that can be polled by DICOM compliant imaging modalities with MWL functionality. The difference between “Creator” and “Broker” is data is manually entered in Creator where as Broker takes a HL-7 message from an electronic EHR/EMR system. Creator is the product used by those who do not have an electronic medical records systems or do not want to interconnect their PACS to their EHR/EMR system.

These products are designed for Microsoft Windows operating systems. We provide two hours of installation and training with the purchase of these programs. One year warranty support is also included. All AMD software products are installed by remote connection.
