AMD Technologies’ Frontal Protection Aprons
Economy – Tie Straps Aprons:
The quality and durability of all AMD aprons is now available in this economy model. Heavy duty vinyl covering, sturdy tie straps, and nylon edging make this durable apron a great value.
Standard – Buckle Belt Aprons:
Our quick-release belt buckle system is easy to use and helps transfer the weight of the apron from the shoulders to the waist. The nylon exterior is easy to clean, yet flexible enough for hassle-free movement.
EasyWrap – Velcro Closure Aprons:
For those who prefer hook and loop fasteners, AMD offers the EasyWrap model. The securing flap accommodates a large range of weights. Our full-cut backs provide extra support and comfort.
Back Relief Aprons:
Our Back Relief Apron transfers the weight from the shoulders to the hips with the aid of a 6″ wide elastic belt. Adjustable back shoulder strap keeps the apron snug. Shoulder pads are included.
Flex Back Aprons:
Our Flex Back Aprons feature elastic back panels for added comfort and support with hook & loop fastening flaps that wrap around the waist for an adjustable fit. Shoulder pads included.

All of our Frontal Protection Aprons are 0.5 mm pb equivalent.
Standard protection is provided by multi-ply lead impregnated vinyl material that is covered in a nylon or vinyl material.
The weight of the aprons can be reduced by selecting two alternative protective materials: Tin-Lead or Non-Lead options. Tin-Lead offers 0.5mm lead equivalency of regular lead at 100 kVp. Non-Lead offers 0.5mm lead equivalency of regular lead at 90 kVp.
Using the drop down menus above you can select model, size, protection type, with or with/out attached thyroid collar and color/pattern of outer covering.

Film Safes
$765.00With our electronic Film Safe, accidental exposure of film is virtually impossible. Here's how it works: Open the electronic Film Safe, press the lock release, the electronic components in the unit will measure the amount of light in your darkroom and if safe, the lid is released for removal or insertion of film. The lid is designed to "fall" closed when released. A non-electronic Film Cabinet (model 30771) is also available.
